Polymerase Chain Reaction

A specific DNA quantity is required for DNA analysis.

Previously, preparing this quantity from small quantities of biological parent material was a difficult and very time-consuming process. The PCR method, which was invented in 1983, has eliminated this problem since this method allows DNA fragments to be multiplied exponentially, similar to a nuclear chain reaction, in a simple way by passing them through specific temperature cycles.
