Pneumatic valve island for Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP and ET 200SP HA
Maximum system availability and process reliability for pneumatic control systems through the seamless integration of our AirLINE SP Type 8647 valve island into the Siemens I/O system SIMATIC ET 200SP & SIMATIC ET 200SP HA as well as PCS 7.
Your Benefits:
- Save time and reduce operating costs thanks to preventive maintenance
- Avoidance of unwanted valve switching leads to high process reliabilty
- Simple and convenient commissioning due to fast project programming via Siemens STEP7 & PCS 7
- Less space used in control cabinet – no additional electronic module required
Compatibility with Siemens I/O systems
Close cooperation between Bürkert and Siemens
For a number of years now Siemens and Bürkert have been successfully pooling their expertise in the fields of automation and fluid technology. This partnership has resulted in the Type 8650 and 8644 valve islands.
In case of Type 8647, this approach also produced an innovative electropneumatic automation system that can be integrated into the Siemens I/O systems SIMATIC ET 200SP & SIMATIC ET 200SP HA. It can also be used with the PCS 7 process control system, allowing all pneumatic process and device data to be represented at the highest plant level.
This makes the valve island particularly suitable for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and water treatment industries.
Design and operating principle of the AirLINE SP Type 8647
The valve island controls up to 64 valve functions on a valve block. The installed valves act as pilot valves, controlling pneumatically operated actuators such as process valves or cylinders.
The valves are directly connected to the Siemens I/O system, enabling fast and seamless integration during commissioning and operation monitoring. This allows Type 8647 together with all Siemens modules to be placed in the control cabinet in a space saving way.
Thanks to AirLINE Quick, the valve island can also be mounted directly on the control cabinet floor, eliminating the need for bulkhead fittings. Commissioning with PCS7 is also possible. The HF interface modules (High Feature) of the ET 200SP must be used for this.
AirLINE SP – electropneumatic automation system
- Direct connection to the I/O systems SIMATIC ET 200SP and SIMATIC ET 200SP HA
- Integration in Siemens PCS7 possible
- Combination of fieldbus, pilot valves and I/O modules
- Easy diagnostics by LC display
- Safety-related shut-off of valves possible
Integration with the Siemens I/O system SIMATIC ET 200SP HA now also possible
In addition to SIMATIC ET 200 SP, Type 8647 can also be combined with Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP HA and can therefore be directly integrated into the PCS 7 process control system.
“The integration of Type 8647 also provides the valve island with access to all of the Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP HA’s PROFINET functions. This allows the customer to benefit through greater process reliability and increased equipment availability”, empasizes Tobias Zipf, Product Manager Pneumatics at Bürkert.
Your benefits in detail
Various diagnostic functions such as switching cycle count monitoring, wire break diagnostics or short-circuit diagnostics enable optimised device operation with preventive maintenance and high equipment availability. Valves can be replaced during operation due to the hot swap support in order to minimise downtimes. Faster and easier start-up, maintenance and fault diagnostics contribute to greater equipment efficiency and process reliability.
