New CEO of Bürkert Group in office

At the beginning of April, Georg Stawowy took up his new position as the new Bürkert Managing Director – he is succeeding the previous CEO Heribert Rohrbeck, who has retired. After nine years at the Lapp Group, Georg Stawowy is now assuming responsibility for the strategic alignment and advancement of the growth course of Bürkert.

“Bürkert has a great, highly value-oriented culture and is well-known throughout the region as an attractive employer. I look forward to the opportunity to design in this environment,” states Georg Stawowy about his start at the international fluidics specialist, and his new position as CEO, greatly emphasising the company’s assets.

The new CEO has had the opportunity to gather multi-faceted experience in different areas and industries, and was active in various management positions in companies such as Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, the Freudenberg Group and, more recently, the Lapp Group. The 53-year-old was last employed at the cable and connection systems manufacturer Lapp for over 9 years, as Executive for Innovation and Technology. He was responsible there for the areas of innovation, product management and
development, the supply chain - including production and purchasing - and IT and digitalisation activities. Georg Stawowy was also responsible for business in North America and activities in electromobility. A good basis for the upcoming period as CEO at Bürkert Fluid Control Systems.

Continuing years of success

Georg Stawowy now wants to write a further chapter in Bürkert’s history of success in his new position, first and foremost: “I’ve arrived at a company that’s doing well, after a very successful period. This is a special responsibility and challenge, but above all, it will give the organisation the confidence to handle the upcoming duties.”

For the new CEO, the topic of digital company transformation is a focal point in this regard, with the aim of ensuring that Bürkert can continue to meet the changing requirements of the market in future: “We must understand the chances and implications of digitalisation in all corners of the organisation, and tackle them with courage. And above all, that means not only “taking employees on board”, but also taking on the responsibility together. The future viability of Bürkert lies in our own hands,” Georg Stawowy says, summarising his outlook for Bürkert. The top priority: to continue to be a reliable partner for fluid control systems, and to bring ideas to life, together with Bürkert partners and employees.
