Bürkert wins Golden Gas Award

Bürkert was chosen as a winner for the 2015 Golden Gas Award by the US magazine “Gases & Instrumentation International" for the new Type 8741 mass flow controller (MFC) / mass flow meter (MFM).

In the new Type 8741 mass flow controller (MFC) / mass flow meter (MFM) Bürkert consistently focuses on the new device platform EDIP (Efficient Device Integration Platform). In concrete terms: The MFC / MFM feature a standardized interface for real time communication with the proprietary Bürkert system bus (büS). The system control unit (SCU) Type ME2X can control up to 16 büS devices and functions as a gateway between Industrial Ethernet and the büS. The Bürkert Communicator software enables  intuitive parameterization of the MFC / MFM and allows convenient process control . If a CAN bus already exists, a toggle switch on the device can be used to switch between büS and CANopen.

Gases & Instrumentation International Magazine (G&I) is a definitive source of current information on the technology and application of industrial, specialty, and medical gases. The Golden Gas Awards are conducted by G&I each year as a tribute to the technology of gases. The products are judged by a panel of independent technical experts not affiliated with any product or manufacturer. This year's competition attracted more than 35 entries in 6 categories. Each product was rated on its ability to solve an important challenge to the gas industry, such as technological innovativeness, superior specifications in terms of power requirements, speed, maintenance and other quality considerations.
