As General Manager for Bürkert Fluid Control Systems in Mexico, your primary task is to establish and successfully develop a new sales organisation from the scratch. You will lead the entire planning and implementation process to create a strong regional presence. Your focus will be on developing and optimizing sales processes to meet customer needs and expectations. You will foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance. Through strategic planning and targeted actions, you will significantly contribute to the company's long-term success and market leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build, lead and supervise the Mexican entity.
- Execute the global sales strategy including the “Focus 28” direction, in order to develop local goals to increase revenue, market share, and profitability, leveraging organizational strengths and differentiating from competitors.
- Coach and develop the local sales team towards excellence in sales performance and achieving their targets.
- Responsible for sales (turnover) and margin of the company.
- Develop and execute the local Marketing & Sales plan.
- Responsible for profit & loss, and balance sheet, budgeting and sales planning.
- Project and pipeline management.
- Report to the Director Region Latam.
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or a related field; MBA is advantageous.
- A minimum of 15 years in sales, preferably the technical industry. Preferred experience with working in global companies with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, combined with process-oriented thinking and acting.
- Minimum of 8 years of management experience, with significant experience in leading a sales organization in South America, preferably in Mexico.
- Proven track record in P&L, balance sheet and SG&A management and analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to build a sales office/company from the scratch, manage a direct selling organization and distribution.
- Culturally adaptable, with experience working across different cultures and languages (fluent in English & Spanish is a must-have).
- High energy, self-motivated, and goal-oriented, with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the country and globally, approx. 30%.
