Summary:
The ASME BPE Welder is responsible for performing welding activities in accordance with ASME BPE (Bioprocessing Equipment) standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform welding activities using various techniques, including orbital welding, manual TIG welding, and manual orbital welding, in accordance with ASME BPE standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements and procedures.
- Select and set up welding equipment, ensuring proper settings and calibration for each project.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet ASME BPE standards for quality, integrity, and hygiene.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to ASME BPE welding.
- Design, create and build necessary jigs or fixtures to ensure work area stability.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical 6G certifications and training in welding required.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a welder, with a focus on ASME BPE standards.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including orbital welding, manual TIG welding, and manual orbital welding. Willingness and desire to learn and receive training as needed.
- Familiarity with ANSI AWS & ASME BPE standards and regulations, including material requirements, surface finishes, and weld quality criteria.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality welds.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues as they arise.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also following instructions and guidelines from supervisors and project managers.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
- Proficient with precision measurement tools.
